Opara Adolphus Chinedu
Born 15th May 1981, I hail from Imo state of Nigeria.
I underwent my primary and secondary education in Lagos, Nigeria and at a time was a part time student of Computer science in Ambrose Ali University, Lagos study centre.
I hold a certificate in Computer Assembling, Set-up and maintenance, Configuration, Windows Operating System, General Installation and Troubleshooting from TTC Organisation (an international IT NGO) with an office in Ikeja Lagos in 2003. I also holds a certificate in Windows 2000 operating system from BPS Technologies Ltd., a subsidiary of Abia state University with an office in Victoria Island, Lagos in January 2000.
I was employed at Nimbus Art Centre in 2002 as a Computer Operator and grew within a three year period to become Curator of the Art Centre.
My Photography…..
I developed a passion for photography as a result of my long term interaction with artists and art critics alike. I started photography in February 2005.
Have photographed around a few states in Nigeria and some West African Countries, including Ghana, Benin Republic, Bukinafaso, Mali and Senegal. I have also undertaken personal religious and economic projects.
As an artist and photographer, I am determined to change the face and acceptance of professional art journalism in the country which hasn’t enjoyed much admiration to date.
In December 2008 I completed an International professional course in photojournalist organized by World Press photo I collaboration with Nigerian Institute of Journalism in which i emerged top amongst the graduants.

- A photo review on Afrika by an Italian Publication “PRIVATE”
- A member of African Artists Foundation of which my works can be found on their site.
- Was published in the 1st Edition of TIMEOUT Nigeria.
- Published in the LAGOS CITY AT WORK, A publication on Lagos by Glendora books, out November 2007.
