We’re excited to share that Fawaz Oyediji has been chosen as the Nigerian Photographer for the Beyond The Silence project in collaboration with Magnum Photos!
In partnership with Odesa Photo Days Festival (Ukraine), Centro de las Artes San Agustín (Mexico), Africa Artists’ Foundation (Nigeria), Vlast (Kazakhstan), and the Angkor Photo Festival & Workshops (Cambodia), and of course, with our involvement at the African Artists’ Foundation, and with support from the Open Society Foundations and the Ukrainian Institute, this project aims to amplify diverse voices in the midst of oppression and create global dialogue through photography.
Fawaz joins photographers worldwide to explore themes like “Censorship/Freedom of Speech “Territory. Occupied/Annexed,” “Kidnapping & Abduction” and “Fight/Adaptation,” bringing their unique perspective to the forefront.
